Ethnography, Georgia Institute of Technology

Biography

I am an ethnographer, historian, and Cobb County native. My research focuses on public schooling and  resegregation in metro Atlanta. As a postdoctoral fellow at Georgia Tech, I teach classes that engage  Atlanta’s cultural history and contemporary politics through service learning projects, ethnographic  exercises, and built environment analysis. I’m particularly interested in pairing oral history assignments  with digital tools that empower students as researchers and change-makers.
