Biography

Dr. Julia Brock is an assistant professor of history and a public historian at the University of West Georgia. She co-directs the Center for Public History there and teaches courses on southern history and in support of the public history program. She is co-editor (with Daniel Vivian) of Leisure, Plantations, and the Making of the New South: The Sporting Plantations of the South Carolina Lowcountry and Red Hills Region, 1900-1940  (Lexington Books, 2015). She is also one of three members of the independent curatorial collective Selvage.
